Smashing Magazine recently posted a pretty detailed list of the 30 Usability Issues To Be Aware Of. While I’m sure usability experts will find this list more like an overview, a layman like myself found it informative. Several of the concepts I’ve had experience with (2 second rule, 80/20 rule, 3 click rule, Progressive Enhancement, etc.) while others I’ve been aware of only informally such as consistency in UI. The one I was most amused by was “banner blindness”.
