I believe Mr Snuffleupagus would state that as further evidence of Elmo's coke addition. Although, depending on when the car accident took place, that could have been his LSD phase.

This reminds me... Many years ago, one of my teammates totaled her pickup truck on the way to Erie, PA for one of our hockey games. A semi clipped the front of her truck sending her spinning onto the other side of the highway where an oncoming semi hit the back of her truck. Fortunately my teammate was okay aside from a few bruises. Her passenger was a Tickle-Me-Elmo. When the second truck hit, Elmo was thrown into the front windshield hard enough to trigger his laughing mechanism. My teammate said she was in tears, and Elmo was laughing hysterically. She recalled telling him out loud, "Dammit, this is NOT funny!"
